La mostra “Anarchetiquette – graffiti e parole da leggere, conservare e capire” curata da Daniele Pario Perra, con la collaborazione di Christina Kreps e Roberta Waldbaum della University of Denver e il Centro Internazionale di Impegno Civico, inaugura martedì 6 dicembre p.v. presso l’Urban Center Bologna.

La mostra “Anarchetiquette – graffiti e parole da leggere, conservare e capire” esplora la comunicazione spontanea rimuovendo e preservando graffiti, simboli e scritte sui muri prima dell’abbattimento degli edifici o del restauro delle superfici su cui sono posti.

La mostra è l’evento espositivo e finale dei workshop Fresco Removal, azioni pubbliche in cui si insegna agli abitanti di una comunità come rimuovere graffiti di testo o simboli ritenuti esemplari e la loro successiva posa su tela al fine di conservarli per sempre. I partecipanti raccolgono e conservano le comunicazioni autentiche, non filtrate dai media, nella propria comunità; preservando questo patrimonio intangibile come manifestazione del pensiero collettivo.

Il workshop, accompagnato dalla mostra, ha avuto più di trenta edizioni pubbliche e gratuite, in diverse città tra l’Europa e gli Stati Uniti, in cui sono state raccolte centinaia di simboli e scritte sui muri. L’asportazione dei messaggi avviene attraverso la tecnica dello strappo, che grazie alla posa di colla naturale e garza sulla superficie consente la rimozione di pochi millimetri di intonaco e la successiva posa su tela. Per questo motivo il progetto Anarchetiquette non è interessato all’unicità di ogni singola comunicazione sul muro ma all’insieme di queste informazioni. Esse ci rivelano la comune comprensione della cultura di un’area e la differenza tra un’inconscia visualizzazione del singolo messaggio e la percezione di una realtà globale. Un’analisi pura della comunicazione spontanea della città senza dimenticare il rapporto con il magico, l’invisibile e il mitologico, che il DNA di ogni luogo racchiude nel proprio patrimonio intangibile e poetico.

A completamento del progetto avrà luogo nella giornata del 14 dicembre: l’Incontro Pubblico “La comunicazione (urbana), parole, oggetti, comportamenti – e scritte sui muri”, che si terrà presso l’Auditorium Enzo Biagi della Biblioteca Salaborsa di Bologna alle ore 17.

Daniele Pario Perra è un artista relazionale, ricercatore e designer impegnato in attività espositive, progetti di ricerca e insegnamento. Il suo lavoro si sviluppa in ambiti disciplinari diversi: arte, design, sociologia, antropologia, architettura e geopolitica. Si occupa da diversi anni di creatività spontanea, tendenze culturali e modelli di sviluppo urbano, in una costante relazione tra cultura materiale e patrimonio simbolico. Nel 2001 ha iniziato il database Low Cost Design che contiene oltre 7000 scatti fotografici sulle trasformazioni degli oggetti e dello spazio pubblico in Europa e nell’area del Mediterraneo, pubblicato in due volumi per Silvana Editoriale. Ha indagato la comunicazione spontanea in più di trenta città con il format “anarchetiquette/fresco removal” insegnando agli abitanti, in vere e proprie azioni urbane, come rimuovere e conservare scritte sui muri e graffiti ritenuti esemplari prima della loro cancellazione. Tra il 2000 e il 2010 ha esposto opere, ideato azioni urbane e coordinato progetti e workshop tra Roma, Milano, Torino, Sarajevo, Barcellona, Chicago, Rotterdam, Berlino, New York, Berna, Parigi, Marsiglia, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Lubiana, Denver, Belgrado, Budapest e Londra. The attendance at the workshop Fresco Removal is managed through the publication of a public notice where people of all ages is invited to take part in a free theoretical-practical laboratory lasting seven days. The workshop starts from the topic of cultural preservation and ends with a broad overview on the main restoration techniques for frescoes, going through the sociology of the territory, the historical analysis and linguistic phenomenon. The participants of the workshop analyze the territory identifying the structures which contain messages in line with the project, and after that they discuss publicly, together with the cultural representatives of their community, about which messages they intend to preserve. Daniele Pario Perra is a relational artist, researcher and designer engages in exposition activities, research projects and teaching.
